Rally to the Isle of Man this year!

Evoking the days when TT riders had their racing numbers stitched to the back of their leathers, a swarm of enthusiastic VMCC members prepares to set off down the Glencrutchery Road.

With the Manx Rally, the Isle of Man Section of the Vintage Motor Cycle Club hosts arguably the most popular event in Britain for enthusiasts of veteran, vintage and classic motorcycles.

Straddling the enormously popular Classic TT August Bank Holiday weekend, it allows participants to explore the stunning Manx countryside as well as rub shoulders with TT greats as they enjoy the sights and sounds of the finest classic races in the world.

The Manx Rally attracts as many as 300 riders from as far away as Australia who are won over by the sheer variety of activities on offer, from a lap of the TT course on closed roads as a curtain-raiser to the racing proper, the daily rides out which always culminate in free tea and buns aplenty, and the Festival of Jurby, the biggest one-day annual event on the Island, which attracts more than 10,000 spectators.
