After it was announced that the 2023 Boston Bike Night would be the event’s last, local businesses stepped up to keep the long-running event going.
In November of 2023 organisers announced that the popular bike night, which had run for 27 years, would not go ahead again.
In the Facebook announcement at the time, increased costs of security was cited as the reason for the events cancellation.

However, local businesses have stepped up to ensure that the event returns for 2024.
Boston Borough Council will help out with security to make this year’s event happen.
Boston councillor Dale Broughton said “finances are not going to be a problem” for the new organisers thanks to the “incredible support of local businesses”.
“It’s a brilliant event so we were so pleased that we managed to negotiate with the new organisers,” he said.
Boston Bike Night 2024 will take place July 4 at Boston Central Park.
