Pullover, tie and brown polished shoes!

I found this photo of Rod Coleman, which I took around 10 years ago, during a sort-out after replacing my computer.

The event was the annual classic bike meet at Pukekohe in New Zealand, where I always tried to get to after the tours I was leading finished.

With his front number plate bearing the letter ‘W’, Rod Coleman looked totally relaxed as he awaited the start of this New Zealand event – but when the flag dropped he left ’em standing!

Note Rod’s natty riding gear as he happily awaited the start of a race on his 7R AJS.
Although his son had been designated ‘minder’, when the flag dropped Coleman was off like a scalded cat and no one got near him. The ‘old
‘un’ still had it!
