Those Beezas were at Dover’s Western Docks

The picture of a group of mostly BSA riders in your ‘Unidentical Twins’ feature in OBM (June) was taken just outside the Customs & Excise car hall at the Western Docks in Dover.

The view over the low building in the foreground is towards the Dover-Dunkerque train ferry dock, hence the rail wagons at the top left.

Ray Steele seems finally to have identified the location of this Mortons Archive photo, which we used in the June issue, as Dover Western Docks.

The riders and their bikes would probably be waiting to embark on the ferry.

My own time working in that facility was probably some 20 years after the photo was taken, but the shed still stands, although the Western Docks are now a cruise terminal.
