Presteigne ‘fill-up’ trials rider identified

I enjoyed the ‘filling up at Presteigne’ picture on page 20 of OBM (May). Having lived there for about four years I immediately recognised the garage, although it’s looking a bit sad these days.

**When shown this picture from last month’s issue, an old Presteigne resident recognised the rider on the right as Peter Lambert, a local trials competitor at the time.**

I didn’t recognise anyone on the photo, of course, but I consulted a local octogenarian who immediately named all of the garage staff and, although he didn’t recognise two of the riders, says that the rider on the right, on bike No 20, was Peter Lambert, a local man who was a regular trials rider on his Bantam.
