Five great riding days in the International West Kent Run

Based at Aylesford’s 12th century Priory and organised by the West Kent section of the Vintage Motor Cycle Club on August 6/7, the 32nd International West Kent Run Weekend attracted riders from the UK, France, Holland, Austria, Switzerland, Germany and Belgium, plus two intrepid adventurers from Norway who made it on 175cc Tempo Transport machines, writes Tony Page.

Although the entry is limited to 380 machines over 25 years old, it’s always over-subscribed, and this year no fewer than 37 pre-1930 entries participated.

In addition to the 105-mile route, there’s a shorter one of 70 miles for veteran and pioneer machines, or indeed for the full range of daily runs from Thursday to Monday.
