Winning ways in Manxland for the £250 Faasaag Flyer

If you think it must cost an arm and a leg to go road racing competitively, then think again – for in the hands of Ross Cain, a Suzuki-based £250 special has had a brilliantly successful season in the Classic 50 Racing Club’s Isle of Man series.

His successes have been achieved at Jurby Kart Track and at various other road race events on the Island, including the Peel Kipper Races on TT Week’s Mad Sunday, when he won the Formula 2 class in fine style on the £250 special.

Under the sponsorship of Radio Faasaag commentary team, the Common Taitas – that wacky bunch of broadcasters who seem to turn up at race events (and woe betide any racer who hasn’t given them the right information to work with, for they’ll just make it up instead) – Peter, Paul and Diane have spared no expense on the ‘Flyer’. A team of top mechanics ensure that the bike is well fettled, with tyre pressures and oil being checked at least once a year if time and other race commitments allow!
