Period wear

Classic gear for the classic revival...
1950s style scrambles helmet from Davida.
An invitation to ride in the scramble at the Goodwood Revival in September meant a bit of searching for a classic scrambles crash helmet. You see, Goodwood Revival is all about recreating the look of the 1940s, 50s and 60s and that means period clothing to match the period machinery.
As the bike being ridden will be a late 1950s Goldie scrambler, the ensemble will have to match and that means 'pud basin' but with a peak. Luckily Davida do just such a thing and even offered to put my old motor club's – Consett and DMC – logo on too.
Davida has offered this service for a while, but it's not widely known. So, if you need a traditionally styled crash helmet but want a bit of customising on it then have a word with Davida.
