The winter blues were well and truly kicked into touch at the first major event of the classic bike show season. Launched for the very first time and held at Newark Showground over the weekend of January 7-8 – The Carole Nash Classic Bike Guide Winter Show proved an enormous success. With 10,000 visitors through the gates, classic bikes galore and hundreds of trade stalls and dealers, the brand new show was the first of what will now become an annual event... and goes to prove just how strong the classic biking movement is.

Big crowds, great bikes and bargains wherever you looked. The 31st Carole Nash International Classic MotorCycle Show, held over a sweltering Easter weekend, kicked off the British motorcycling season in style. By 10am on Saturday, the bike parks were full, the car parks were full and some of the traders had such a successful day that they were out of stock by late afternoon.

The recent wintery weather that seemed to bring the country to a standstill isn't the kind of weather that a caring owner of a valuable classic motorcycle goes out in... except no one mentioned this to the OBM editor who, as soon as anything like a fall of snow happens, is straight out and playing in it with his trials BSA B40. A trials bike is almost ideal for this sort of going, it’s light, manoeuvrable and easy to step off if it all goes wrong.Were you out in the snow?

2010 October Stafford Classic Mechanics Show

16/17th October saw the Carole Nash Classic Mechanics show beat all records (again!). The classic motorcycling fraternity turned out in force at Stafford County Showground over the weekend of the 16-17th October for the 17th Carole Nash Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show.
